- We will be "home-basing" from Boerne again this year. A list of hotels is below and a list of B&Bs is here:
- Crescent Inn & Quarters - 170 S. Main Street, .2 miles from the square. 830-249-8016
- Comfort Inn &Stes. - 35000 IH-10 west . 2.8 miles from Sq. 830-249-6800. (this is not accessed via IH-10, but off of Bandera Road.)
- Drury Inn at 1604 and I-10 (15806 IH-10 West - San Antonio, TX, 78249) - less expensive than the immediate Boerne area, and only about a 15-minute drive down I-10 to the exit for the center of town. - 210-696-0800
- Hampton Inn - 34935 IH-10 West. 3.1 miles from Sq. 830-816-8800.
- La Quinta - 36756 IH-10 West @ John's Road. 1.0 miles from Sq. 830-249-1212
- Fairfield Inn - 6 Cascade Caverns Rd. 3.7 miles from Sq. 830-368-4167
- There is another La Quinta on I-10 closer to SA, but it's about 10 miles away.
- Spend Friday night and avoid having to drive into Boerne early on Saturday morning.
- Please join us at Cheesy Jane's (located in the shopping center at 215 West Bandera/Highway 46) from 6:30 to 8:30PM for a Friday evening ice-breaker & superb burgers, fries, malts at this great 50's-style establishment.
- Meet in front of the old Sheriff's office and Jail on East San Antonio Street (across from the square) at 8:30AM, driver's meeting at 8:45AM, depart at 9:00AM.
- Morning drive: The morning drive will take us north to Comfort, through Center Point and then south through some great back roads to Medina, then 337 over to Vanderpool to our rest stop at the Lost Maples store. We'll then go north past Lost Maples State Park, swing east towards Hunt, and arrive at our lunch spot along the Guadalupe on the south side of Kerrville.
- Lunch on Saturday will be at Billy Gene's restaurant ordered from the menu. Billy Gene's has river views and a great menu with something for everyone.
- Afternoon drive will be back to Boerne along some fun back roads on either side of IH-10. We'll caravan, and this will be a relatively short 1-hour drive with the intent of getting you back to your hotel so you can rest &/or enjoy the shopping in downtown Boerne before the shops close and dinnertime.
- Saturday evening's event will consist of a wine and cheese sampling at 6:30PM at the Boerne Wine Company in downtown Boerne. A "wine card" can be purchased for $25 and used in their unique vending system to purchase partial or full glasses of wine, and the cards are "rechargeable". The cheese trays will be catered and there will be a nominal cost of approximately $5 per person.
- Meet at the same place (E. San Antonio St. in front of the old Sheriff's office & Jail) at 9:30AM, driver's meeting at 9:45AM, and depart at 10:00AM.
- We will drive a circuitous route that will take us through Sisterdale and some back roads that will get us to Luckenbach, with lunch at their "Feed Lot" which takes cash only. From there it is an easy drive back to the Austin and San Antonio areas.
