Get your engines ready for a GREAT weekend of driving the Texas hill country!
Accommodations:

- We will be "home-basing" from Boerne again this year. A list of hotels is below and a list of B&Bs is here:

  • Crescent Inn & Quarters - 170 S. Main Street, .2 miles from the square. 830-249-8016
  • Comfort Inn &Stes. - 35000 IH-10 west . 2.8 miles from Sq. 830-249-6800. (this is not accessed via IH-10, but off of Bandera Road.)
  • Drury Inn at 1604 and I-10 (15806 IH-10 West - San Antonio, TX, 78249) - less expensive than the immediate Boerne area, and only about a 15-minute drive down I-10 to the exit for the center of town. - 210-696-0800
  • Hampton Inn - 34935 IH-10 West. 3.1 miles from Sq. 830-816-8800.
  • La Quinta - 36756 IH-10 West @ John's Road. 1.0 miles from Sq. 830-249-1212
  • Fairfield Inn - 6 Cascade Caverns Rd. 3.7 miles from Sq. 830-368-4167
  • There is another La Quinta on I-10 closer to SA, but it's about 10 miles away.

Friday, October 19th:

- Spend Friday night and avoid having to drive into Boerne early on Saturday morning.

- Please join us at Jonna's and Brads's home for a Friday evening ice-breaker & spaghetti dinner from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Water & tea will be provided. Please feel free to bring any other beverage of your choice. Directions will be emailed to participants before the event.
Saturday, October 20th:

- Meet on the main square in Boerne at 8:15am to depart at 8:45am SHARP. There are public restrooms there, and it's also close to a couple of the quaint hotels.

- Morning drive: The morning drive will be a GREAT drive! It's been a good while since we've driven all 3 sisters (335, 336 & 337), so that's what we are going to do!
**Lunch will be a bit on the late side (arrival estimate to be 1pm) so plan accordingly! We will have a rest stop in Leakey.

- Lunch on Saturday will be at Neal's Dining Room in Concan on the Frio River. Lunch will be ordered from the menu. Neal's serves casual fare such as burgers, sandwiches & salads, as well as dinner plates.

- Afternoon drive will entail driving back to Boerne at your leisure. We’ll caravan, but after the long morning, the intent is to get you back to your hotel so you can rest &/or enjoy the shopping in downtown Boerne before the shops close & dinner.

- Dinner Saturday evening will be at the Limestone Grill at the Ye Kendall Inn in downtown Boerne. Dinner will be a beef & chicken fajita or cheese enchilada buffet, inclusive of iced tea, or coffee & dessert and will cost $26 including tax and tip per person. We will be collecting Saturday morning, so please have cash or check available - no credit cards.

** It is important to commit to this dinner because we have to guarantee a number of attendees 7 days prior.

Sunday, October 21st:

- Meet on the main square in Boerne at 9:00 am to depart at 9:15am.

- Sunday will have more exciting driving and will end with lunch at the Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood.

If you have a two-way FSR radio, bring it. They enhance the enjoyment of the drive!
