There will be a convoy to Marble Falls from San Antonio beginning at the HEB north of Hwy 1604 on Hwy 281 leaving at 8:00 am.

There will be a convoy to Marble Falls from Austin beginning at Gattitown at the "Y" in Oak Hill leaving at 8:30 am.

We will begin our trip by meeting at the Wal-Mart on Hwy 281 at the North end of Marble Falls at 9:30 am. There is a Murphy USA gas station there. We will leave by 10 am sharp.

Beginning Saturday with a nice drive from Marble Falls to Dublin where we will have lunch at the Old Doc's Soda Shoppe. Here malts are handmade with real soda and ice cream. Be sure to pre-order with your RSVP. Then we will take an afternoon stroll through the Dr Pepper original bottling plant. The Dr Pepper is still made in its original formula from 1885, just like Charles Alderton created it, with pure cane sugar.

Next we will take a short scenic drive over to Granbury so you can check in to your hotel room. There are many wonderful places to discover in lovely Granbury. We will have dinner at Pastafina or you may discover another eatery on your own. The day’s events will end as we line up for the Brazos Drive In, one of a few still in operation. There is a double feature. Be sure to pack your lawn chairs for this. The movies are shown on reel-to-reel film and the concession stand has the wonderful smell of popcorn and other goodies spilling out into the evening air.

There are only 20 rooms in the block, each room is Non Smoking King (if you need something different be sure to tell the clerk when you make your reservation). Breakfast is included with your room and they have an outdoor pool.

Dinosaur Valley State Park

Entry fee is $2.50 per person to be collected prior to leaving hotel Sunday am.

 After a good nights sleep and a chance to check out the breakfast bar in the hotel, our trip will take us on another scenic drive to Glen Rose and into Dinosaur Valley State Park. Here we will take our time viewing the dinosaur tracks, they are considered the best preserved in the world. The tracks are in the Paluxy River bed. You may even want to go swimming or fishing. Lunch will be at the Big Cup Eatery, a favorite among locals and visitors. Afterwards we will travel back to Marble Falls where you can then make your way home Sunday afternoon
