Located along the clear-flowing Guadalupe River
in the beautiful Texas Hill Country and noted for
its ruggedness and scenic beauty. A variety of
outdoor activities await us including canoeing,
fishing, swimming, tubing, picnicking, hiking and
in our case Rudy's BBQ with all the trimmings.
You can also do some bird watching and nature study.

Bring your own gear for swimming, canoeing, tubing
and fishing. However, we will have all the gear for
a round of softball/baseball, volleyball, horseshoes
and maybe even washers.

Be sure to pack some sunscreen and OFF! There
are lots of trees but no covered picnic areas. For
those who may be interested there is a daily two
hour guided interpretive tour of the adjacent
Honey Creek State Natural Area emphasizing
history, geology, flora and fauna beginning at
9:00 am.

And in the evening, Master Naturalists give
in-depth programs relating to the natural
resources of the area in the Amphitheater 7-8 p.m.

More Park Info

The park is located 30 miles north of San Antonio at the north end of Park Road 31. It may be reached
by traveling west on State Highway 46, 8 miles west of the intersection of State Highway 46 and
US Highway 281 or by traveling eastward on State Highway 46, 13 miles east of Boerne from IH-10.

Cost to enter the park is $5 per person for adults, $3 for senior citizens, and ages 12-under free.

Rudy's BBQ lunch will be $7.50 per person.

Bring your favorite picnic dessert and chairs.

Go to the park and look for signs to direct everyone to the same spot.
We will be in the picnic area - so it is a no brainer. Look for the Tejas Chapter banner.
