We will meet at: IH35 & Martin Luther King (MLK) at UFCU Stadium parking lot. (Get Directions)
  • At 8:15am we will have a drivers meeting
  • And promptly pull out at 8:30am
  • If you need something to eat, please stop prior to arriving at the start point as no restaurants are at this location.
  • We will be collecting for only the Shakespeare play which is $10.00 prior to starting or at the first break.
8:30 am - We will be heading east on FM-969 then crossing over Hwy 290 for an enjoyable ride through the pines and small Farm Roads. Sights along the way will be a large herd of Longhorn Cattle, and scenic small towns of Texas.
11:00 am - Our Lunch stop will be at El Charro T. Mexican Restaurant in Brenham which is a Family owned and operated restaurant.

 12:30 pm - we will depart El Charro T. and head West to Winedale for the afternoon play of Shakespeare.

2:00 pm - Shakespeare play starts

The play is at 2:00pm at the Winedale Historical Center. It is "Much Ado About Nothing". Tickets are $10. The performances are in an open, un-airconditioned barn. People may want to bring seat cushions, like the ones used at sporting events, because the folding chairs and benches can sometimes be uncomfortable.

Much Ado About Nothing is a romantic comedy by William Shakespeare set in Messina, Sicily. The story concerns a pair of lovers named Claudio and Hero who are due to be married in a week. To pass the time before their wedding day, they conspire with Don Pedro, the prince of Aragon, to trick their friends, Beatrice and Benedick, into confessing their love for one another. The prince's illegitimate brother, Don John, however, jealous of both Don Pedro's power and his affection for Claudio, plans to sabotage the coming wedding.
