WHAT: Christmas Shopping Spree

TIME: begins at 9:00am - be there a little before

WHERE: At the Wal-Mart located at 1515 N Loop 1604 E San Antonio, TX 78232-1431. Best described as the northwest corner of Highway 281 north and Loop 1604 westbound access road. Phone number 210-491-0291 (Get directions)

DETAILS: We need one member for each child - we have enough pledges for 19 children at the moment. We will meet the children at 9:00am at the Walmart. One member will team up with one child and go shopping. The children will have lists of gift ideas and family members. Around 11:00am we will finish checking out and go to a room set up for the kids to wrap the presents. Walmart is donating a Santa outfit for our use and Santa will be there for the kids to visit with.

LUNCH: We should finish this up around 12 -12:30, at which time the children will return to the center and the Tejas members will go to a restaurant for lunch. Location is TBD.

WHY: To share the spirit of Christmas and the gift of giving with those families who otherswise would not have a Christmas.

NOTE: In order for this event to be successful, we need members to be there and we need the funds to make it work. Anyone willing to donate wrapping material would be greatly appreciated.
