What:

Once again, our own Dr. Beemer, Brian McKinney, is opening the doors of his shop to the Tejas Chapter. Now you have no reason whatsoever to put off the maintenance that your BMW deserves. Anything that will fit into a two hour time limit on a lift and the expert advice of Dr. Beemer technicians is game. Control arms and bushings? New front rotors and brake pads? Tranny and diff fluid changes? This is your chance!

When:

On Saturday, June 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., 15 lucky cars can do up to a 2 hour repair or maintenance job of their choice. And Dr. Beemer will even have professional technicians there to guide you and give advice. And all for a $20 bill. Bring your own tools or use a technician's tools (you'd better tip well). Lunch is included.

Don't need or want to work on your car? Come on out to watch, learn, or help out! Lunch will only be $5.

Lunch will be catered by Dr. Beemer and served beginning at 11 a.m. Eat whenever you aren't working on your car or helping someone else.

Incentives:

Dr. Beemer will also give you 25% off of OE and aftermarket parts purchased from Dr. Beemer (order in advance), 30% off alignments (alignment rack open the entire time), 20% off all lubricants (i.e. bulk oil, M-oil 10w-60, diff fluids, BMW coolant, etc.!

Free vendor swag for all, plus you'll be entered in a raffle for valuable door prizes.

Estimated Labor and Parts:

To get an estimate on labor time and parts costs for the work you need to do, email Kayla at Dr. Beemer at [email protected], with Tejas Chapter Tech Day in the subject line. Include your year, make, model, and what you want to do to your car and what parts you need. Once you know the job will fit into the time constraints, order your parts and sign up for a work slot on the Tejas Chapter website.

More information:

  • $20 for a work slot includes use of lift and technical advice, lunch, and one raffle ticket for door prizes.
  • If you use a technician's tools, you are expected to tip the technician. Remember, these guys are donating their day to us.
  • Your work can take no longer than two hours and must be approved by Dr. Beemer.
  • Everyone must bring their own safety glasses (prescription eyeglasses are fine to wear without safety glasses).
  • Spots will be available for paid alignments at 30% off.
  • Additional raffle tickets are available for $5 each.
  • You must be a current BMW CCA member.
  • Parts purchased from Dr. Beemer are 25% off (OE and aftermarket). This does not include parts that have to come from the dealer.
  • Dr. Beemer technicians will be available for advice and guidance. Members may bring their own tools.
  • Dr. Beemer will raffle some cool stuff; past events have included: BMW accessories, free oil changes, free alignments, set of tires, novelty LED Puddle lamps, etc.

This is first come, first served. Your slot will not be confirmed until work is OK'd by Dr. Beemer. If you don't see your name on the Tejas Chapter website, then your work hasn't been confirmed yet.
