Meet at Cabelas (exit 220) I-35 at Row A (Left side of store). (get directions) at 12:00 noon to leave by 12:30pm. Please plan to eat a small breakfast before the event. We will not eat, until we reach Winedale for the Play.
Arrive at Central Texas Auto Museum (Rosanky Museum) about 2-pm.
The Central Texas Museum of Automotive History was founded in 1980. It has collected, restored and preserved all types of automobiles and related items. According to their website, they maintain and rotate approximately 130 automobiles during the year.
Cost is $4 per person. Children between 6-12 are $2.50 each. Kids under 5 are free.
Depart at 4:00pm towards Round Top and Winedale.
This program is run by the English Department of the University of Texas at Austin. Support is by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Houston Endowment, the Texas Commission on the Arts, the Dallas Shakespeare Club, the RBC Dain Rauscher Foundation, and the Trull Foundation. The actors are students from UT.
The play will be Romeo and Juliet and we have reserved 40-seats, but if more people plan to attend the play, that quantity can be increased. This is their celebratory season finale and reception starts at 6:30p.m. on Saturday, August 9 with tickets for $25, which includes the reception (food and drinks) and the evening performance.
Cost is $25 per person.
Plus, we will be able to sit in the center of the playhouse for this year.
