Central Texas Food Bank (https://www.centraltexasfoodbank.org/) provides food and groceries to more than 300 human and social service agencies in 21 Central Texas counties; last year they provided 24.5 million meals! Food donations come from various food manufacturers, growers, distributors, grocery stores, and individuals. Volunteers working in a climate-controlled warehouse help sort into comprehensive packages that are delivered to the agencies in need. This holiday season, the Tejas Chapter will contribute to the more than 96,000 hours of volunteer effort annually that makes this vital community service possible.
